About Refurbished Phones UK

Refurbished Phones UK is a growing UK e-commerce business specialising in high-quality refurbished smartphones and mobile devices at competitive prices.

We are looking for a creative, energetic and commercially minded Social Media Manager to join our team and take ownership of our social media presence, content strategy and audience growth.

This is a fully office-based role, working closely with our team to create content, promote products and develop campaigns that increase brand awareness, engagement, website traffic and sales.

The Role

As Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for planning, creating, publishing and managing content across our social media channels.

You will develop and execute a social media strategy for Refurbished Phones UK, with a strong focus on engaging content, short-form video, product promotion, audience growth and driving customers to our website.

You will work directly with the team to create content around our latest smartphone stock, offers, promotions, customer benefits, educational content and brand campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the company’s social media strategy.

  • Create weekly and monthly social media content calendars.

  • Create engaging posts, Reels, Stories, short-form videos and promotional content.

  • Manage social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

  • Promote refurbished smartphones, new arrivals, special offers and seasonal campaigns.

  • Write engaging captions, headlines, calls-to-action and promotional copy.

  • Research social media trends, formats, sounds and competitor activity.

  • Create content designed to increase reach, engagement and website traffic.

  • Monitor comments, messages and community interactions.

  • Respond to customers and followers professionally and promptly.

  • Work closely with the product and marketing team to promote current stock.

  • Take and organise product photos and videos when required.

  • Repurpose product photography, website content and existing marketing material for social media.

  • Analyse social media performance and prepare regular reports.

  • Track reach, engagement, follower growth, website clicks and conversions.

  • Test different content formats, hooks, captions and creative ideas.

  • Support paid social media campaigns and provide creative recommendations.

  • Maintain a consistent brand identity and professional tone across all platforms.

Office-Based Working

This is a 100% office-based position.

The successful candidate will work from our office and collaborate directly with the Refurbished Phones UK team.

You should be comfortable working in a busy e-commerce environment where priorities can change quickly and new content opportunities arise every day.

Being physically present in the office will allow you to work closely with the team, access products for photography and video content, and quickly create content around new stock, promotions and trending opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience managing social media accounts for a business or brand.

  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

  • Experience creating Reels, TikToks and other short-form videos.

  • Excellent written English and strong copywriting skills.

  • A good understanding of social media algorithms and content distribution.

  • The ability to identify trends and turn them into relevant business content.

  • Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.

  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.

  • A commercial mindset and understanding of how social media can generate sales.

  • The ability to work independently while collaborating with the wider team.

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to bring new ideas.

  • Meta Ads Manager

  • TikTok Business tools

  • Canva

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • CapCut or other video-editing software

  • Google Analytics

  • Learn about Refurbished Phones UK, our products, customers and brand.

  • Review existing social media channels and performance.

  • Identify opportunities for improving content and engagement.

  • Create a structured social media content calendar.

  • Establish a consistent publishing schedule.

Days 31–60

  • Introduce new content formats and short-form video concepts.

  • Increase audience engagement.

  • Develop recurring content series.

  • Test different creative approaches and content hooks.

  • Improve social media traffic to the website.

Days 61–90

  • Build a scalable long-term social media strategy.

  • Identify the highest-performing content formats.

  • Improve traffic and conversions generated through social media.

  • Develop successful recurring campaigns.

  • Provide regular performance reports and recommendations.

Success will be measured by meaningful audience and business results, including:

  • Growth in relevant followers and audience.
